The Council’s Transportation team aims to celebrate the great diversity of people who ride their bikes around the borough and the fascinating journeys they make. Last summer the team ventured out with photographer Caroline Irby to stop and snap people with their bikes. They were amazed by how generous people were with their time and their eagerness to take part in the campaign.
The Royal Borough is launching the campaign with an exhibition at the gallery at the corner of Westbourne Grove and Pembridge Villas (133-137 Westbourne Grove, W11 2RS). This exhibition runs from 1 to 10 April, and is open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm. The photos will also be displayed in Tavistock Square, Holland Park and outside Harrods. You might see posters around the borough and a special insert in the next edition of the Royal Borough newspaper. You can follow the campaign at www.likeridingabike.org and watch a video on it here.
