Cycletastic – The Thursday Post

Dear Cycletastic members here is a brief update for our activities this week.

The Easter weekend went very well and we had lots of visitors to the Cycletastic shed fixing there bikes and learning about cycling in our local area. This weekend we would like to ask anyone who would like to volunteer to come on down to the shed and help us recondition bikes that have been donated to the project. This is a great way to learn about bike maintenance while helping us develop a stock of bikes that can be sold or hired. We’re all about having fun and sharing our experience so if you have half an hour or more to spare why not pop down and lend a hand. Regular volunteers will also gain lots of incentives to keep returning such as free bike parts and refreshments.

THE SHED IS OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERS 12-4pm on Sunday 15th.

Product Plug: Kryptonite KryptoLok Series 2 U-Lock with Kryptoflex Cable, available online from All Terrain Cycles at £20. This is a highly secure lock with cable extension so that both wheels and frame can be secured at a bargain value

Do you cycle regularly, do you find faults in the road, did you know you can report them online? It’s very well moaning about the quality of our streets but unless you tell someone there’s a problem how can you expect it to be fixed. Click here to go to the TFL Report It page.

Don’t forget to tell your friends about us. We’re here to help people of all ages and abilities enjoy cycling. ‘Like’ us on facebook to join in with our community. We need a facebook banner image for our page. Do you have a suitable image. It must be cycling related and can be suitably cropped to fit the space. If you want to submit an image please email chris@cycletastic.org.uk The winning image will be posted asap.

Happy Cycling!
