Cycletastic shop – We have limited new cycle parts and accessories at great value prices. There is also a small range of reconditioned bikes available at £75 – £200.

The Easter weekend went very well and we had lots of visitors to the Cycletastic shed fixing there bikes and learning about cycling in our local area. This weekend we would like to ask anyone who would like to volunteer to come on down to the shed and help us recondition bikes that have been donated to the project. This is a great way to learn about bike maintenance while helping us develop a stock of bikes that can be sold or hired. We’re all about having fun and sharing our experience so if you have half an hour or more to spare why not pop down and lend a hand. Regular volunteers will also gain lots of incentives to keep returning such as free bike parts and refreshments.

THE SHED IS OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERS 12-4pm on Sunday 15th.

Do you cycle regularly, do you find faults in the road, did you know you can report them online? It’s very well moaning about the quality of our streets but unless you tell someone there’s a problem how can you expect it to be fixed. Click here to go to the TFL Report It page.

We need a facebook banner image for our page. Do you have a suitable image. It must be cycling related and can be suitably cropped to fit the space. The Cycletastic shed is located on Streatley Road near the Willesden Lane end, NW6 7ST. Please try to arrive earlier for repairs as we operate on a first come first serve basis.

Coming up in April: London Cycling Campaign is organising the Big Ride on Saturday 28th April. Recent momentum in calling for safer streets for Cyclists and other vulnerable road users must be supported. In February The Times Newspaper started a campaign for Cities Fit for Cycling. Also London cyclists presented a 2000+ strong force to drive home the message ahead of a parliamentary debate. Check the links to see how you can support these big campaigns and please ensure you have signed the LCC’s petition and then encourage friends and family to do the same.

After a few quieter months while the weather has been cooler we now have a schedule of opening times for the Cycletastic shed. We operate the shed on a volunteer basis so your donations are always welcome. This year we have one guaranteed opening to the public on the first Saturday of each month and of course you can keep an eye on the website for any additional openings or events we are holding. The location of the shed can be seen here.

Next public shed opening Easter Weekend Saturday 7th April, 12pm til 4pm perfect for getting your bike ready for a good day out on Easter Sunday or the bank holiday.

We are also dedicating the second Sunday of each month to recycling and reconditioning bikes that have been donated to the project. We welcome volunteers of all abilities to come and help us do this. If your repair skills are a bit rusty or you would like to just learn a bit more about bike maintenance, come on down and give us a hand we’ll show you the ropes while we get the bikes ready for sale. Sales of donated bikes are used to fund additional events and services that we offer.

We have a jumble every month on the first Sunday of the month at 10am. It’s completely free for everyone. There is no need to book, just turn up and sell your stuff. This month we’re selling off loads of stuff we’ve accumulated in the basement.

SATURDAY 18th February
10-4 pm Cycletastic once again offer our DR Bike servicing plus bike maintenance training. If you would like to get your bike fixed, use our tools or get taught some simpler bike maintenance then this event is for you. Bring your bike and come and get your hands dirty or watch and learn. We can fix punctures, service gears and brakes, check your bearings, check roadworthyness and of course we have a whole load of spare parts available at discount rates.

SUNDAY 19th February
10am-2pm Dr Bike FREE* cycle servicing and top tips for looking after your bike. Come on down and fix your bike in the Salusbury Primary School Hall in the warm and keep your bike running smoothly though the rest of winter. Discount parts and accessories available.
