Cycletastic

The Cycletastic Community bike shed was established in 2010 with a London Cycle Campaign community bike fund.Ā  Cycletastic is a local volunteer led, bike repair project in Streatley Rd Kilburn London NW6 7LJĀ  We recycle old bikes back to the community and offer bike repair services and bike riding training for all ages.Ā

The shed aims to open regularly in the warmer months so that you can drop in and repair your own bike using our tools and parts. We can help you learn basic bike mechanics so that you can save money and become aĀ  self sufficient bike owner. We have a tool resource there and welcome anyone to the shed on a Saturday afternoon that needs bike help.Ā

WeĀ  help you keep your bike rolling andĀ  roadworthy offering you the help ofĀ  skilled mechanics to fix or service your bike withĀ  you .We can assemble and safety check your newĀ  bike.Ā

We haveĀ  second hand and new bike parts for sale and sell second hand bikes. WeĀ  welcome your unused/ bike donations to help us to continue to offer this from the shed.Ā

We have a face book and instagram page : cycletasticfixlearnride and update this as often as possible to keep you in contact with what is happening at the project and in the local and widerĀ  London area.

WeĀ  offer FREE learn bike maintenance training and FREEĀ  off road and on road bike ability training based at the Granville Community Centre bike hangars situated on Granville Road NW6 5RA for you or other members of your family age 9 yrs plus.Ā  This is funded by Brent NCIL . Please message info@cycletastic.org.ukĀ  if you want to book a place to learn with your name, age , mobile number ,postcode and starting ability .

Please note thatĀ  the Cycletastic bike shed is run by volunteers and the project is closed during cold winter months. Please note the shed is closed in the afternoon on the days we offer morning Free Dr Bikes 9.30 -13.00Ā  at the shed in 2024 . TheseĀ  dates are :

Cycletastic Feedback

I learned very useful tips for riding a bike, including safety checks, brakes and skills course, like learning to keep balance, rolling and then putting a pedal up with the aim of later using both pedals and learning to ride a bike confidently. They helped me learn new skills, improve my confidence and not give up. They were really supportive and encouraged me to keep going by providing very helpful tips and advices. I loved my experience with Cycletastic! Thanks so much!

I was notified about the scheme through my street WhatsApp group. Even though I learned to ride a bike as a child, Iā€™ve always been too nervous to cycle on the roads in London. Now I have two small children who are (quickly!) learning how to cycle and I want to be able to keep up and have fun with them on family days out. The course built my confidence and by the big road ride at the end of 4 weeks, I was loving it and feeling happy on the bike. Iā€™ve since been and bought my own! Iā€™d love to do more group cycles - Josie informed me about ā€œJoyridersā€ - I just need to make time around work and family etc!

Great community service. Paul changed my front brake cable and showed me how to do it. He did a great job and made sure my bike was perfect! It is well worth a visit to get your bike back up to working order. Bear in mind they accept donations (Ā£5 minimum) for the work they do. The people that fix your bike are all volunteers so every little helps
